More athletes die from Sudden Cardiac Arrest than from any other cause, and most show no symptoms or history of heart problems. Studies show that physicals are only 1% effective at detecting heart issues, whereas a simple electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) can detect up to 94% of them.
