Permit Technician Certification

Effective July 1, 2019

Certification pay will be based on the current model codes adopted by or a model code in the process of being adopted by the state of Oregon. No certification pay will be given for model code certification once that model code is discontinued by the state of Oregon. The Building Official Manager retains full authority to approve the certifications for which s/he will pay this incentive.

The City of Albany Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating the capabilities our community needs to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of disasters and emergencies in our city.

Emergency management is the process of coordinating available resources to combat emergencies effectively, thereby saving lives, avoiding injury, and minimizing economic loss. Today’s emergency management program evolved from the old civil defense and civil preparedness programs of the 1950s-1970s.
